摘　　要： 介绍指纹识别技术及其在身份确认方面所具有的特点和优势,主张将指纹识别技术应用于图书馆以解决目前高校图书馆普遍存在的因传统身份认证等所带来的困惑和问题;阐述指纹识别技术在高校图书馆的应用范围、实现的可行性途径,并展望指纹识别技术在图书馆乃至全校的应用前景。 This paper introduced the fingerprint recognition technology and its characteristics and superiority in personal identity verification. It proposed that using the fingerprint recognition technology in the library to solve confusions and problems which encountered by university libraries because of the traditional identity verification methods. The application fields and feasible implement methods of using fingerprint recognition technology in university libraries were expounded. It looked forward to the implement prospect of using fingerprint recognition technology in university libraries and even in the whole universities.
