摘　　要： 美国工程与技术认证委员会于2001年开始在全美执行新的工程专业认证标准,该标准具体包括适用于基本水平专业的一般标准、适用于较高水平专业的一般标准和专业标准三方面的内容。三者各自的内涵不同,但联系非常紧密。适用于基本水平专业的一般标准是参加认证的工程专业应达到的基本要求,适用于较高水平专业的一般标准则是参加认证的工程专业在满足基本要求之上应达到的更高层次要求,专业标准是参加认证的每一个具体的工程专业应达到的特殊要求。对美国工程教育专业认证标准进行深入研究,有助于正确理解其内涵,把握其共性特征,创新我国高等工程教育改革与发展的思路。 In 2001,Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology(ABET)had put into practice Engineering Criteria 2000(EC2000),which includes three different but related parts.The first part is general criteria for baccalaureate level programs,which is also the bottom-line requirements for any accredited engineering programs.The second is general criteria for masters level programs,the higher requirements for accredited programs satisfying bottom-line requirements.And the third is program criteria for specific professional programs to be accredited.Studying American criteria for accrediting engineering programs can help us acquire a full understanding of them,grasp general features of engineering programs and bring out innovations in our own engineering education.
