In the whole course of following 12 athletes in Chinese men's 50km - speed - walking team altitude training, the correlative physiological and biochemical indices were determined, and their daily total workout load and intensity were recorded. It is found from the results that after they ascended the plateau, there appeared a descending tendency in the biochemical indices of RBC,HCT, WBC, Hb and BU, whereas T steadily continued rising, besides, the differences were prominent in the 3rd and 6th weeks after they reached the highland; during the altitude training, the changes were not obvious in the indices of RBC, HCT, WBC, Hb and BU; in the 5th week of altitude conditioning, CK went up, and T dropped, furthermore, the comparative divergence was notable compared with the 1st, 3rd and 6th weeks. It is suggested that the changes in various biochemical indices closely related and conformed to those in workout load and intensity during the altitude training.
