摘　　要： 意大利作家埃科的长篇小说《波多里诺》通过主人公波多里诺天才式的叙述,完美地再现了中世纪的社会风情,将中世纪的神话传说、十字军东征、基督教城市的兴起、教皇与皇帝之间的权力斗争、信仰的追求和爱情的神秘等杂糅在一起,在战争与和平、信仰与困惑、爱情与谋杀、真实与虚假的博弈中展开了对历史真相、谎言欺骗、信仰执着和意义生成等问题的探索和追问。 Umberto Eco's Baudolino vividly recaptures the social customs of the Middle Ages through the depiction of Baudolino, the protagonist. The novel is an admixture of myths of the Middle Ages, the Crusade, the rise of Biblical metropolis, the power struggle between the Pope and the Emperor, the pursuit of religious doctrine and mysterious romanticism. In the royal game between war and peace, belief and confusion, love and murder, truth and falsehood, the novel views in retrospect the historical objectivities, deception, devotion and symbolisms.
