摘 要: 本文采用2004年广东省居民调查数据,实证检验居民商业保险购买行为的社会互动和社会资本解释。研究发现,社会互动对居民的保险购买行为没有显著影响,而社会资本却推动了居民的保险购买。此外,高收入的居民购买保险更积极。我们的研究为发展商业保险业提供了一个社会结构和社会特征的政策视角,即加强保险业诚信建设,提高居民的社会资本水平,是推动居民保险购买进而发展保险业的重要手段。 By utilizing a unique household survey data of 2004 in Guangdong province, this paper examines the social interaction and social capital arguments for household's commercial insurance purchase. It is find that social interaction does not exert significant effect on household's insurance market participation, while social capital promotes household's participation in commercial insurance market. Moreover, people with higher income tend to participate in the commercial insurance market more actively. Finally, the authors point out that the improvement of insurance industry; higher levels of social capital and trust are necessary and important for the household's insurance market partieipafion and the development of insurance industry.
