摘　　要： 对国内外一些社区图书馆事业发展数据进行了简单地整理,结合国内实地调查,分析了当前中国社区图书馆的发展状况和存在的问题;对中国社区图书馆的前景以及社区图书馆在未来应该扮演怎样的社会角色提出了展望. After statistics and processing of progress data of a number of community libraries both at home and abroad, and especially based on some data collected from the field in China, the author analyzed its growing status and existing issues whilst described the potential prospect of sustainable development and what a social role the community libraries should play in the future in China.
