摘　　要： 末端重心和末端焦点是有关英语句子语法结构和信息结构顺序的两条基本原则,也是英语句子的常规顺序原则。它们密切相关、相辅相成、相互映照,但又是相互区别的。本文首先澄清相关概念,然后对这两条原则进行区分。在此基础上,作者对违反这两条原则实例按标记程度的不同进行了分类,并结合实际语境从功能语法的角度对违反这两条原则的实际情形进行描述和解释。作者发现有标记性的语法结构、信息结构都是有功能理据的,这也印证了Halliday的"充分理由原则"。 End - weight and end - focus are the two guiding principles regarding the syntactic sequence and information structure of English sentences. Although they often come into operation with one another and reinforce one another, these two are principles of different nature and operate at different levels, and therefore they should be distinguished from each other. It is found they are frequently violated in actual use, which resulted in different degrees of markedness depending on the principle （s） which is/are violated. These marked cases can be explained from functional perspective, which in turn is in accordance with what Halliday calls the good reason principle＇.
