摘　　要： 党的十七大报告关于坚定不移发展社会主义民主政治的论述,对于进一步推动依法治国、确立民主法治在中国未来政治中的地位具有重要的意义。文章围绕坚持党的领导、人民当家作主和依法治国有机统一,依法执政和依法行政等问题进行了分析和探讨,指出民主法治建设需要在充分尊重人类社会发展、社会主义建设规律以及中国共产党执政规律的基础上,不断推进符合我国国情实际、适应时代发展要求的,具有中国特色社会主义的民主法治建设。 The exposition in the report delivered to the Party＇s 17th National Congress on unswervingly developing socialist democracy has great significance for pushing the efforts to rule the country according to law and establish the position of democracy and rule of law in politics in future China. After analysing and exploring such issues as combining the need to uphold the Party＇ s leadership and ensure that the people are the masters of the country with the need to rule the country by law and governing the country according to law, the article points out that the drive to improve democracy and rule of law must follow the laws governing social development, socialist construction and ruling by the C.P.C., and that it must be in line with Chiese conditions and meet the requirements of the times.
