摘　　要： 对于"附加信息"这一语用现象,不少学者只是泛泛而论,而并未做深入的研究。本文以Verschueren的语言顺应论为理论框架,分析探究电视访谈应答语中"附加信息"的本质特性与语用功能。从交际者身份、形象构建和礼貌原则等语境要素入手,语料分析后认为,"附加信息"是一种情景顺应的语用策略,有其存在的重要语用功能即形象身份构建与社交礼貌顺应。 It is found that added information （overinformativeness in Gricean terms） needs further study after a thorough review of relevant literature. This present paper is a study on the responder＇s provision of additional information i.e. responder＇s overinformativeness （RO, hereafter） in the institutional discourse - CCTV talk shows, seeking to explore the functionality and explain the adaptability of this type of speech act. With Verschueren＇s linguistic adaptation theory （1999） as the general conceptual framework, we find out that RO is a result of linguistic choice employed by the speaker as a communicative strategy to fulfill particular functions in accordance of identity construction and social politeness.
