摘　　要： 该文分析了英语颜色词white,black,red,yellow,green,blue,pink,brown等在翻译和语用意义上的不完对等,了解这些用法可以避免在英语的阅读与使用中产生误解或者语用错误,对英汉互译工作有很大帮助,也可以引导读者在英语学习中注意中西文化的差异,顺利地完成交际任务,提高英语应用能力。 The paper analyzes the non- correspondence of English color words ＂ white, black, red, yellow, green, blue, pink, brown＂ in translation and connotative meaning. Understanding these usage can help us a- void misunderstanding or pragmatic mistake, it helps much to English -Chinese and Chinese -English translation. It also can guide the readers to pay attention to the Chinese and western culture differences, finish the communication task smoothly, improve the practical ability in English.
