摘　　要： 现代汉语词义存在大量的"专化现象",现有的词典和教材对此缺乏必要的注释,对外汉语课堂教学对此也有所忽视,以致在跨文化交际和外国人的汉语习得中出现许多误解和误用。鉴于此,我们应该加强对外汉语教学中"专化"问题的研究。 Specialization is a very common phenomenon in modem Chinese. But we found that neither the dictionaries and textbooks nor Chinese teachers have paid enough attention to it. It results in lots of misunderstandings and misapplications in both intercultural communication and Chinese acquisition activities. So we think it＇s high time to strengthen the specialization research in the field of teaching Chinese as a second language （TCSL）.
