The study explored the framing effect of behaviors and emotions and its correlation with personality. Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) (Chinese edition) was used to investigate the personality traits of 116 undergraduate participants who were asked to read a story about risky surgery. Half of the participants were presented with a reading material which was refrained positively, the other half a negatively refrained reading material. Their reading behaviors and emotional responses were explored. The results showed that reframing and personality had a significant effect on reading time and emotional responses, and participants who read positive material had more intensive emotional responses. The effects of refraining on behaviors and emotions were proved, and it was affected by individuals' personality.
