摘 要: 对二语/外语学习者来说,学习和了解英语习语(idiom)是一个难题。本文简要论述了广播电视新闻英语中习语的特点和分类,从新闻英语视听说课程-New Perspectives中的习语教学出发,指出影响二语/外语学习者理解和掌握习语的因素,探讨如何引导学习者利用已有的语言知识和跨文化知识学习习语;通过培养习语学习策略,来了解和掌握广播电视新闻英语中常用的习语搭配,从而提高语言使用的地道程度(naturalness)。 Learning idioms is an essential but difficult task for L2 or foreign language learners. Based on an analysis of the typical features and classification of English idioms in radio / TV news, the paper attempts to examine the factors affecting L2 learners' acquisition of English idioms. It further explores the cultivation of L2 learners' metaphoric competence and the expansion of their cross-cultural knowledge, both of which are significant in idiom learning and teaching. Finally, the paper addresses how to foster learners' learning strategies of idiom through the teaching of New Perspectives of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
