摘 要: 在世界文明史上,中华文明从先行到落后是一个值得关注的问题。三代农耕经济与宗法社会孕育了"尊祖崇圣"的价值取向,形成了"法古述圣"的学术传统;秦汉以降更进一步扭曲为"帝王兼圣"的权力崇拜,演化为"唯古是信"的经学传统与"唯上是从"的文化精神,其本质就是权威迷信。正是这种精神传统构成了华夏文明制度的、心理的、人格的创新障碍,成为中国古代社会发展长期停滞的重要根源。 In the history of the world civilization, the problem that the Chinese civilization experienced from progressiveness to backwardness should cause our attention. Agricultural economy and patriarchal society of Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties were fraughted with a value orientation of "esteem to ancestors and sages" and formed an academic tradition of "following the examples of ancient sages and spreading their doctrines". Down from Qin and Han dynasties, the tradition was twisted further into a power worship of "emperors are concurrently sages" and developed into a tradition of Confucian classic of "only ancient classic can be followed" and also a cultural spirit of "be absolutely obedient to the superiors". Its essence was authorizes cult. It was this spiritual tradition that constructed the obstacles of blazing new trials for the Chinese civilization in system, psychology and personalities, and was an important root of the long stagnation for the development of Chinese ancient society.
