摘 要: 针对高职英语教学的困境,通过问卷调查、听课和访谈等研究工具和方法,研究了高职英语教学的基本矛盾课题。其结论是,高职英语教学的基本矛盾是学生原有英语知识水平以及心理需要与教学要求之间的矛盾;学生基础差并非是使高职英语教学陷入困境的唯一原因,现行高职英语教学模式也是导致这种结果的主要原因。改革现行高职英语教学模式,提高学生学习的主动性和积极性是改善高职英语教学质量的唯一途径。 Facing the dilemma in English teaching in higher vocational colleges, the basic contradictions in English teaching in higher vocational colleges was studied through questionnaires, lectures inquiry, and interview with the teachers and students. It was pointed out that the teaching dilemma is not only the result of the students ' limited knowledge and ability in English, but the basic contradictions in English teaching in higher vocational colleges, the big gap between the students' English level, psychological needs and the teaching practice. The present teaching model in higher vocational colleges is the main cause. It is possible to regenerate the teaching model so as to urge the students to study English actively and positively, and this is probably the only way to improve English teaching in higher vocational colleges.
