摘　　要： 由于没有提供地图符号制作工具,基于ArcGIS Engine的应用系统不能直接完成对地图符号库的扩充,无法满足用户需求。本文通过分析ArcGIS Engine的地图符号体系,详细阐述了ArcGIS地图符号的组织构建模式,并以此为基础设计实现了一套基于ArcGIS Engine的地图符号制作工具,利用该工具可以方便有效的扩充地图符号库。 The application system based on ArcGIS engine can't directly extend map symbol library for lack of map symbol making tool,which can't satisfy the user's requirement.Based on the analysis of map symbol system of ArcGIS engine,this thesis explains the pattern of organizing and making ArcGIS map symbol in detail.Moreover,it designs and realizes a suite of map symbol making tool based on ArcGIS Engine.Users can easily and effectively configure and extend map symbol library with this map symbol making tool.
