摘　　要： 20世纪初期晚清社会内外交困,有识之士希望通过教育改革培养新式人才,制定新学制成为教育改革的当务之急,癸卯学制应运而生。癸卯学制是一部具有现代化特征的学制。它的诞生标志着中国现代教育制度的确立。 At the beginning of the 20th century, the whole society in the late Qing Dynasty was beset with difficulties at home and abroad so that some far-sighted scholars hoped to change the situation by reforming the educational system and cultivating new typed personnel. It became a pressing task to establish a new educational system. Consequently,Gui-mao educational system featuring modem education came into being. Such an event marked the establishment of China＇ s modern education system.
