摘　　要： 语讳是一种特殊而复杂的语言避忌现象。同时,它还包含着丰富的文化与民俗内容。从避凶趋吉和避俗求雅两个方面对梅县话语讳进行分门别类的描写,并在描写的基础上,从社会文化及民俗的角度,对各语讳形成原因及避讳方式作了详尽的分析和解释。由此,不仅能引出梅县话语讳的许多特征,而且可展现梅县地域文化和民俗的诸多特色。 This paper provides a classified description of ineffable words in Mei County from the two aspects as the prevention of ominousness and worldliness as well as the tendency to propitiousness and elegance. It also interprets in detail the reasons and manners of avoidance of those ineffable words from the perspective of social culture and folk - custom. Many characteristics of the ineffable words are brought forth, and a good many features of the culture and folk - custom in Mei County are presented as well.
