摘　　要： 山西票号诞生后不久便在广州设立了分号。在初期,由于当地金融组织以及十三行的竞争和排斥,发展比较艰难,但在后来取得了汇兑官款的权利之后,发展极其迅速,甲午战争和庚子事件后发展到了巅峰。但这一暂时的繁荣并不能挽救其衰落的命运,遭受辛亥革命的打击之后,票号在广州的历史基本结束。广州当地的金融组织也因自身的落后性,在与外国银行的竞争中被淘汰。山西票号为广州地方经济的繁荣作出了相当的贡献。 Shanxi Piaohao began to set up branch in Guangzhou after it was established. Because of the local financial institutions and Shi San Hangs＇competition with them, these branches developed slowly during the early years, but after they get the power of exchanging government money, they developed quickly. They went through the war between China and Japan in 1894 and invasive war of eight countries＇ in 1900,then got to the top of their business contrarily, but this boom is temporary , it can＇t save its fate. After the revolution of China in 1911, their business history in Guangzhou was basically finished. At the same time, the local financial institution hadn＇t any advantages in competing with foreign banks, finally they were washed out. Shanxi Piaohao had made a significant contribution to the local economic prosperity of Guangzhou.
