摘　　要： 意象已经成为认知语言学的重要概念。成语中的意象表征本质上是语义表征,意象是意象表征的核心部分。从意象表征可以看出语义对句法结构的制约作用,同时,意象决定语义。可见,意象对于语义描写十分重要。本文拟用认知语言学的突显观和注意观来探讨汉、英成语中的意象表征。 Image has become an important concept in cognitive linguistics. The representation of images in idioms is actually semantic representation in which image is the core. Here we can see the semantic restriction on syntactic structure. Meanwhile semantics depends upon images. Therefore, image is very important to semantic description. This paper will probe into the representation of images in idioms from the prominence view and attentional view.
