摘　　要： 中西部开发在为城市提供发展机遇的同时,老城区的保护与更新就是其中之一。文章以洛阳金元旧城城南历史地段为研究个案,在现状调研与分析的基础上,提出保护与更新策略。 China government provide more opportunities for midwestern of China via the West Development Program. In the mean time it bring more chellenging to cities in this area to protect their old style, including the culture and ancient architecture. Based on protection study for Jinyuan Ancient City of south Luoyang , in this article, an updated method bring out to keep the original city during its development.
