摘　　要： 运用文献资料法、调查法、数理统计等方法从社会学的角度透视小城镇体育人口的现状。结果表明:以农村为中心的小城镇体育人口为5.19%,远远低于全国的体育人口34%(2000年);性别比高出中国现阶段体育人口性别比9.29个百分点;随着小城镇居民学历和收入水平的提高,体育人口呈上升趋势;不同年龄段的体育人口呈马鞍型,教科文卫和管理人员的体育人口较高,农民比例最低;低收入、低学历和中年人群的体育人口增长值得关注。 This paper disusses the current situation of small town sports population from the perspective of sociology.The result shows small town population centering on rural area is 5.19% which is much inferior to sports population all over the country; sex ratio is 9.29 higher than that of currant sports population ; sports population tends to increase with the increase of their salary and diploma; different ages of sports population “shows “U” ： among sports population, those from education, science, culture, hygiene and administration occupy higher ratio whereas peasants lower; those with poor -salary and lower education background and middle aged should be paid more attention.
