摘　　要： 《红字》是部多元主题的作品,自问世以来广受文学评论家和读者的关注,其女主人翁海斯特.白兰更是倍受评论家喜爱。从比较狄姆斯代尔和珠儿父女这两个受到较少关注的人物的相似点出发,可管窥超验主义思想在《红字》中的体现;同时可以发现,霍桑与爱默生、梭罗的超验主义世界观又有所不同。 Scarlet letter, the masterpiece of Nathaniel Howthorne, is criticized and focused by critics and readers for many years both in china and abroad. Different critics or readers have various ideas and conclusions about the work. Most of them have noticed the sharp contrast between Hester Prynne and Pearl, but the relationship between Dimmesdale and Pearl, The author of this paper tries to explore the similarity between the father and daughter and find the transcendental thoughts in it, from which we can see the influence of transcendentalism on Hawthorne.
