摘　　要： 多数客家话及粤语表示“再……都……”常用“aη^5……都……”格式。粤中河源客家话及部分粤语aη^5甚至可以用在“aη^5＋动词＋数量”结构中。透过方言比较及文献对照，特别是证明见母读喉塞现象的可能性，这个表示“再”的副词本字其实就是“更”。 It is observed that the aη^5 can be used to indicate （re-）iteration in most Hakka（客家） and some Cantonese dialects. In Heyuan（河源） and some Cantonese dialects, aη^5 acts as an adverb which is used not only before an adjective but also before a momentum phrase. Through comparative studies across relevant dialects and with the support of further evidence from archived documents, this paper explores the possibility of the phonological shift of the velar stop [k] to glottal stop [？] and concludes that aη^5 is derived from ＊kaη^5 with the corresponding character Geng（更）.
