摘　　要： 针对我国地方街道名称“译写”的混乱状态,首先介绍世界的多语现实、单一罗马化的由来和我国街道名称“译写”的规范,进而论述我国街道名称的法规依据,理论依据,情理依据和现场效果依据,并讨论与规范有关的学术问题,再而强调翻译也要依法行事。 This paper, in reference to the confusion in alphabetic spelling of street names in many parts of China, first introduces the multilingual reality of the world, the origin of ＂ Single-Romanization＂ in the International Standardization of Geographical Names and the criteria for such alphabetic spelling. It then dissertates with the arguments for legality, theoretical soundness, reasonableness, and on-the-spot effectiveness in the Romanization of street names. In addition, related academic issues are also explored. It concludes with a suggestion that translation should be in accordance with rules and regulations.
