摘 要: 最近研究表明网络流量在较大时间尺度范围内存在自相似特性。考虑到目前有众多的资源控制和调度算法等需要与流量整形算法配合使用,对自相似流量经过漏桶前后的特性进行了分析。指出漏桶算法可以在一定尺度范围内对网络流量进行整形,但时间尺度超过某个界限后,流量突发特性将不受影响,并对此界限进行了讨论。 Recent work in traffic analysis have shown that traffic streams traversing modern network are self- similar over large time scales from microseconds to minutes. Considering the fact that most of resource control and scheduling algorithm should be used together with some traffic shaping algorithm. The effect that leaky bucket algorithm has on self-similar characteristics is analyzed and the conclusion is that the leaky bucket can shape the burst traffic within some time scales, but the burstiness of the traffic will not be affected when the time scale is beyond certain time scale bound.
