摘　　要： 随着大量外来民工举家迁入大城市,其子女的受教育问题成为大城市政府教育部门亟待解决的重要问题．广州市的个案研究表明,政府有关部门对外来民工子女的义务教育缺乏热情和积极性,在相关政策法规和管理上不到位、不完善．外来民工子女的义务教育问题关系到城市社会的和谐稳定和经济持续发展,城市政府应将其纳入城市教育发展的总体规划,通过政策扶持和财政资助切实保障外来民工子女的受教育权利． With thousands of peasants moving to cities, the education of their children becomes an important and urgent issue for city governments to solve. The case study of Guangzhou City shows that the compulsory education of peasants＇ children still faces policy and administrative problems. City governmnents should take positive policies and solutions to solve these problems to safeguard the legal fights of education of peasants＇ children in cities.
