摘 要: “卡塔西斯”作用是亚里斯多德悲剧理论的重要组成部分,国内学界对此有三种较具代表性的汉语翻译———“宣泄”、“净化”、“陶冶”。朱光潜的“情绪缓和说“、布乞尔(Butcher)的“净化利己因素说”和罗念生的“双向度阐释说”等具有较大的理论参考价值。罗念生针对处于不同心理状态的观众从两方面展开对“卡塔西斯”作用的阐述,为我们提供了一条解决问题的新方法:对“卡塔西斯”的翻译,也许不应该囿于选用哪一个词的争论,因为任何一个意义单一的词,都不足以承担其丰富的涵义。 The function of Catharsis is one of the important composing part in Aristotle's tragedy theory,and scholars at home have given three representetive interpretations upon it——'purgation','purification' and 'molding'.Zhu Guangqian's 'Emotion Alleviation Theory',Butcher's 'Purgation Egotistical Theory' and Luo Niansheng's 'Bilateral Interpretation' ect,all of which have more theroretical reference value for us.However,Luo Niansheng expounds from two aspects the function of Catharsis to the audience in different psychological states,which provides us a new way to solve the problem: to interpret Catharsis,we should not limit to the argument about which word should be chosen for any single word because it can not bear its profound meaning.
