摘　　要： 郭嵩焘和左宗棠都是近代中国史上的风云人物,二者的关系随着时局的发展由至交"而至绝交".这种变化是由二人对职责的亲力亲为、派系之争以及二人的个性不同和时局的合力的结果.晚年二人在外交上的分歧,是二人外交思想的异同所决定的.二者关系的演变也是中国近代时局的一个剪影. Guo Songtao and Zuo Zongtang are both of the most famous people in the Modern History of China. The relationship between them was changing from great harmoniousness to alienation with the development of current political situation. There were many factors leading to the result, such as they were both loyal to their duty, contradiction and conflict during different factions, different individual character of them and the current political situation, The difference on diplomacy of them was determined by their thought on diplomacy, which had similarities and differences. The relationship between them reflects the current political situation in China.
