摘　　要： 在教师缺乏的情况下进行大班英语口语教学是不得已的选择,但经过三个学期的实践和不断努力,发现其效果基本接近小班教学,所有受训学生的英语口语表达能力有明显提高。实践表明,这是一种有意义的尝试,是一条节约教学资源和成本并确保教学质量的有效途径。当然,实践过程申也遇到一些问题。 When there is a serious shortage of teachers, it is a forced outlet to conduct speaking lectures in large classes. But three terms＇ practice and constant efforts have shown that the outcome is quite near to that of small classes, with all the trained students improving spectacularly in oral expression. It proves to bc a significant attempt as well as an effective and resource-saving approach, which can ensure teaching quality. Problems also arise in practice, and they arc listed for discussion.
