摘 要: 通过对大学本科新生语法基础的调查,找出了大学生在语法方面的薄弱点,并根据调查结果,就如何对这些薄弱点进行补救提出以下教学建议:语法教学不能只停留在学生的认知水平,即学习者的接受性能力,而要着眼于学习者语法的内化,即产出性能力的培养。鉴于中国学生英语学习环境的缺乏和使用语言机会的不足,从多年的语法教学实践经验出发,建议采取显性教学(explicit teaching)再加上句型背诵的方法对大学生的语法薄弱点进行补救。 This paper sets out to look into university freshmen's weak points in their mastery of English grammar and provides an adequate remedy. Based on the results of our investigation, wc found it necessary to lay more emphasis on the culture of learner's grammar internalization, that is, their productive ability rather than stop at the stage of receptive grammar knowledge. In view of the poor language environment for Chinese learners of English, wc spent a few years on the experiment in explicit grammar teaching plus sentence recitation as a remedy, and it has turned out to bc effective.
