摘　　要： 监狱人民警察是监狱的管理人员,代表国家对罪犯执行刑罚、实施惩罚、管理和教育改造,承担着改造罪犯的重要职责。当前我国的监狱工作面临着构建和谐社会、“三化”建设、监狱重新分类的新形势,对监狱人民警察的职位进行科学分类是适应当前监狱工作形势的需要,也是提高罪犯改造质量的重要途径。 The jail people＇s police is the jail administrative personnel, carries out the penalty, implement the punishment, carries out management and education transformation on behalf of the country＇s, undertakes important responsibility. At present, our country＇s jail work faces new situation like the construction of the harmonious society, three constructions, and the jail classification. Carrying on the scientific classification to the jail people＇s police position is current need of jail work situation, also is the important way to enhance the criminal transforming quality.
