摘 要: 隐喻理论应用到外语教学是隐喻研究发展的一个趋势,也是外语教学的需要。本文通过隐喻的语言袁征功能和处理功能,阐述其词义扩展功能,并在此垂础上讨论提高外语学习者隐喻意识、促进外语词汇教学的必要性和可行性。 It is a trend that theories of metaphor are applied in the field of foreign language teaching. It is also necessary for foreign language teaching to enrich itself by adopting theories of metaphor. Based on metaphors' presentational function and process function, this paper looks into metaphors' vocabulary expanding function, and further analyzes the necessity and feasibility to improve vocabulary teaching by raising language learners' metaphor awareness.
