Before 1980s, there had been only odd case of slight Anti-Semitism taken place in the United States. But things changed between 1880-1920, when about two millions of Eastern European Jewish Immigrants flowed into the United States, which intensified the latent Anti-Semitism. This tide of Anti-Semitism was caused by racial and religious prejudice, ethnic conflict, as well as the fear of the Jews' economic power. However, the Anti-Semifism in the United States limited to private area, and the damage it brought about was not as serious as the pogrom which had been supported by the Eastern European governments.
