摘　　要： 对湖南省凤凰县腊尔山地区苗族男女各203人进行活体观察与测量,根据测量结果,分析了该民族的体质特征。 406 Miao adults (203 males,203 females) were investigated in Fenghuang county, and analysis and comparison with other nationalities were made. The Miao are hypsicephalic. The statumes of the Miao in hunan are of short type, averaging 1604. 44 mm for males and 1508. 70 mm for females respectively. The physical features of the Miao in Hunan are closer to those of the Tuchia in hunan and of the Miao in Guizhou.
