摘　　要： 传统研究中对系词有三种不同的定性。与此相应,句法学家对系词给予三种不同的句法定位。为给系词的各种句法行为提供一个统一的解释,本文提出并论证了关于系词be的两个假设。在句法推导上,be带有动词类型特征[STATE],在VP中心语位置上合并入表达式Exp,然后从V上行移位到vP中心语位置形成语链CH(be,t)或动词复合体be-v[STATE],并核查Spec-vP位置上的主语和/或宾语的相关特征。我们的观点更好地体现了句法推导和表达的经济原则。 Traditional studies characterizes copula in 3 different ways. Syntacticlans assign copula 3 corresponding positions. In order to provide a unifying interpretation of diverse syntactic behaviors of copula, this paper advances 2 hypotheses concerning the copula be. As regards syntactic derivation, be, with the verb-type feature [STATE], is erged in the head position of VP and then raises to the head ofvP to form the Chain （be, t） or verb complex be - v[ STATE] and checks the relevant features of subject and / or object in Spec-vP. This treatment is believed to better satisfy the Principle of Economy for syntactic reoresentation and derivation.
