摘　　要： 宗族组织长期、广泛存在于中国社会,湘西的宗族组织还有小型化及封闭性等特点。近年来宗族组织有复兴之势,然而由于其固有的一些特性,宗族组织与村民自治这一农村民主化建设的重大举措存在着不兼容性。如何诱导、调适,以便加快乡村民主化进程,这是我国村民自治建设中不容忽视的重大问题。 Lineage organization exists widespreadly in China for a very long time. Lineage organization in west Hunan is relatively small and obturate. In recent years, lineage organization tends to be renaissance. However,owing to the eonnatural character of lineage, these organizations have some conflicts with the villagers＇ administration, which is the important democratic construction in the countryside of our country. How to fastening the procedure of democratic construction facing the tendency of the growth of lineage organization becomes an unneglected question.
