摘　　要： 法律语言最重要的特点是准确性和严密性,但并不排除模糊语言的使用。模糊语言客观地存在于法律语言中,法律语言的模糊性指的是它所指代的法律现象的类属边界和状态的不确定性。在特定情况下使用一些模糊表达,可以使法律语言达到实质上的准确性和概括性。本文多角度分析了英语法律语言模糊性存在的原因和法律英语中模糊词语的使用范围。 The most important language features of legal language are conciseness and exactness. However in practice, vagueness is inevitable in legal language. Under preciseness there is vagueness; and on vagueness preciseness depends. Using vague expression can construe completeness and conciseness in legal language. The paper presents reasons and applying field of using vague expressions in the English language of law.
