摘　　要： 共和主义是西方宪政理论的重要渊源之一,共和传统是西方宪政文明的重要组成部分。共和精神与当代宪政理论之间至少存在法治原则的推崇、权力制约的强调与公共利益的彰显三重契合。共和精神是宪政中国建设的重要精神指引,其中,天下为公是宪政中国之情感凝聚纽带,和谐均衡是宪政中国之构建运作理念。 Republicanism is an important original part of constitutionalism; the tradition of republic is the essential content of Western consfitutionalism culture. There are at least three overlapping between republic spirit and modem constitutionalism theory： the worship of rule of law, the emphasis of power limiting and the concern of public interests. Republic spirit is vital to steer the construction of constitutional China, severing for the public is the emotion mot of constitutional China, harmonious and balance is a great idea for constitutional China＇ s building and functioning.
