摘 要: 自古以来,东南亚一带的居民就养成了嚼食槟榔的生活习惯,并形成了与槟榔有关的文化,在礼待宾客、婚聘等方面,槟榔成了必备用品。槟榔文化的形成和发展与槟榔自身特殊的属性、当地的地理环境等均有密切关系。 The inhabitants of Southeast Asia have nurtured a habit of chewing areca since ancient times, and a culture related to the areca thus comes into being. The areca is indispensable in terms of protocol and matrimonial purposes. The shaping and developing of the areca culture is closely related to its own special nature and local geographical environment.
