摘　　要： 本文首先阐明了农民工在我国经济社会发展中的地位、作用和影响;接着针对学术界的一些误解,论证了农民工独特的社会身份和“农民进城务工仅是城镇化的一种过渡形态”;最后提出了由民工转换为市民,实现农村人口城镇化的基本思路和对策。这对于正确认识农民工的社会身份、作用和影响,加速我国农村人口城镇化步伐有一定的意义和作用。 Firstly illuminate peasant workers' rank, action and influence in Chin ese economy and society development, secondly demonstrate peasant workers' parti cular social status and a sort of transitional form, thirdly bring forward basic thoughts and countermeasures for that peasant workers becomes citizen and actua lizes urbanization of country population. This has effect on right knowledge of peasant workers' social status, action, influence and promotion of urbanization of country population.
