摘 要: 随着网络带宽成指数倍增长和新服务、新协议的不断涌现,基于GPP和ASIC的传统网络解决方案由于不能兼顾速度和灵活性两方面要求,已经不能满足需求。为此,一种并行可编程的网络处理器被应用到路由器的设计中来。分析了网络处理器本身体系结构及关键处理技术,提出了一种基于网络处理器的高效、可扩展、分层路由器通用模型,并阐述了它的数据处理机制。 With the increase of network bandwidth and emergence of new services and new protocols, traditional network solution based on GPP and ASIC can't satisfy both performance and flexibility requirements. Thus the parallel and programmable network processors are involved into the design of router. Architecture of network processor and its key techniques are analyzed, a router model based on network processor which is high-performance, extensible and layered is proposed, and its packet processing mechanism is discussed.
