摘 要: 利己从理论上讲只是一个中性词,是人趋利避害的一种自然本能,有其必然性和合理性。利己与利他并不是天然对立的,利己本身并不包含道德问题,利己的手段才牵涉到道德问题。因此,道德教育的目的并不是去灭杀人的利己之心,而是规范人利己的手段,通过利他而合理利己。为利己正名是我国道德教育走出困境的重要前提。 One of the main reasons for the long-term failure of the construction and education of morality in China is that‘self-regard’is simply and unilaterally understood as an absolute opposite of good virtue, that it is interpreted only as the cradle of all sorts of evilness, whereas the fact that it is also the cradle of all goodness is neglected. Actually, self-regard is the instinct of human beings who tend towards the benefit and avoid the harm, and it enjoys both the inevitability and the rationality. Self-regard is not by nature opposite to altruism, and what involved in the issue of morality is not self-regard itself but the means adopted to do so. Therefore, the aim of moral education is not to deprive an individual of his instinct to be self-regarded, but to normalize the means adopted by him, so that he could get reasonably benefits from what he is doing for others. From the past experience and the present situation, we could see that giving a positive name for‘self-regard’is the crucial premise for China's moral education to develop from its difficult situation.
