摘　　要： 本文描述了橄榄锄须丛螟的形态特征和生物学特性,并简单介绍了其防治方法。该虫在广东潮阳1年4代,世代重叠现象严重。4月上旬第1代幼虫出现为害,6月上旬第2代幼虫出现为害,7月下旬第3代幼虫出现为害,9月中旬第4代幼虫出现为害。10月下旬至12月中旬,老熟幼虫在树冠下表土层1～3cm处或枯枝落叶层结茧越冬。 Morphological characteristics and biology of Macalla sp. were described, and its control measures were provided. Macalla sp. has four generations per year, with generation overlapping in Chaoyang, Guangdong. The occurrences of larvae of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations are in April, June, July and September respectively. It overwinters as mature larva in the soil at a depth of 1～3cm under tree crown or in fallen leaves from late October to December.
