摘　　要： 分析了制约定西市小城镇发展的自然资源因素和社会经济因素,认为水资源的匮乏、人口的压力和科技力量薄弱是制约定西市小城镇可持续发展的重要因素,提出了依靠科技进步与创新、调整产业结构、建立资源节约型经济、积极发展加工业、依托兰州市,多渠道解决人才问题的发展模式。 Nature and social resource factor which limit the small town development of Dingxi region are analyzed.The deficiency of hydro-resource and the stress of population as well as poor technology foundation are determined to be the three key factors which limit the sustainable development of the small town in Dingxi region .The suggestion that technology development and innovation should be relied on is presented in this paper;proper to adjust the industry structure, to found a little-resource-consumed industry, to development processing industry. The importance of cooperation with Lanzhou City to diversity the way of attracting more talent should be pay more attention to as well .
