摘　　要： 本文调查汉、英语篇在主位数目上的差异,重点在于观察、记录和分析语篇里的主位数目英译时实现的增幅。笔者认为,这为我们形成一些翻译策略。 The paper looks into the difference between Chinese and English in the number of three types of themes, with an emphasis laid on observing, recording and analyzing the increase rates of the themes realized in translation. The effort will prove useful in tackling some problems arising in the arrangement of the themes when we translate various types of texts from Chinese into English.
