摘　　要： 晚清美国教会学堂是在不平等条约的庇护下产生和发展起来的,然而,它所培养的学生,却具有较强的民族平等和民族独立意识.因此,他们中的许多成员,成了近代中国民族民主革命的先驱和领导者. During the late-Qing dynasty, the American church schools came into being and developed with the refugee of those unequal treaties. But the students graduated from there had clear consciousness of national equality and national independence.Hence many members became the vanguards and leaders of Chinese modern national and democratic revolution.
