摘　　要： 超弦理论从1960年代末到今天已经有30余年的发展历史了,其间经过了几个转折,如今弦论已成了最流行的量子引力理论.寻求一个量子引力理论,应该看作弦论在1970年代中期"复兴"的主要原因.当然,由于研究弦论的学者大多数是研究粒子物理出身的,所以他们同时也很重视弦论与其他相互作用的统一.在所有研究量子引力的理论中,弦论似乎是唯一可以用来统一所有相互作用的理论. The author discusses the role of cosmology in developing string theory,the theory of quantum gravity and unification.He describes two important problems brought aleut by observational cosmology in recent years, the dark energy problem and the microscopic origin of inflation in the early universe.Both problems are very.challenging and will play a key role in uncovering the fundamental structure of string theory.
