摘　　要： 徐利治提供了他自留学英国(1949年7月至1951年9月)、回到清华大学(1951年9月)及遭逢全国高等学校院系调整、与王湘浩和江泽坚等在东北人民大学创建数学系期间(1952年9月至1958年8月)的许多新史料。从中不仅可以看到其学术活动的一些细节,而且可以了解新中国成立后一些知识分子创立高等数学教育机构的艰辛历程。 Prof. Xu Li-zhi( Hsu L. C. ) afforded some rare historical materials about his personal experiences from his beginning to study in England in July 1949, returning to Tsinghua University in September 1951 and the disbandment of its Department of Mathematics due to a nationwide reform in higher education, to his going to the Northeast People's University at Changchun where he established a Department of Mathematics together with his colleagues including Wang Xianghao and Jiang Ze-jian. From this interview,one can see not only the details of his academic activities,but also the hardships of some intellectuals in creating an educational institution for higher mathematics after the founding of New China.
