摘　　要： 在认知学与符号学的术语中,"标志"icon与"隐喻"metaphor的意义在相似性这一点上是基本相通的。寻求事物之间的相同点是人类大脑的基本运行的一个方面,把隐喻同象似性综合起来考虑,为各种语言现象提供了较为连贯而又完整的解释。用Hiraga所采用的意象图示的方法解释这种混合模式,不失为一种直观研究隐喻的方法。 In cognitive and semiotic terms, 'icons' and'metaphors' share that property of signification 'motivated' by similarity. Connecting things of similarity is one of the basic operations of the human mind. The treatment of metaphor and iconicity in an interrelated fashion will provide a more cohesive and integrated explanation of various linguistic phenomena. So the author holds that the image-schema provided by Hiraga is an effective treatment for the research on metaphors.
